Better, not just different: Why I chose motogadget mo.view mirrors for my custom motorcycle

When I started building my first motorcycle five or so years ago, my plan was simple: an engine build. But as I delved deeper into the mechanics, I realized the endless potential for upgrading and enhancing every component. What started as an engine project evolved into a quest for perfection, where every added part had to be a genuine improvement over the original.

In this pursuit of excellence, one challenge stood out: finding the perfect mirrors. My goal was a restomod style (OEM+) where the bike would look factory-fresh but perform better in every way. I scoured the market for mirrors that were not just different, but truly better than the original equipment. Most options were a letdown—full of plastic components that felt like a downgrade in both quality and functionality.

As an industrial designer, I wanted to incorporate parts that were objectively superior. That’s when I discovered motogadget’s mo.view mirrors, specifically the mo.view spy. These mirrors are a masterpiece: glassless, crafted from CNC'd aluminum with a literal mirror finish. The visibility is unparalleled, surpassing traditional glass mirrors, and the all-metal construction means no risk of shattered glass in an accident.

Integrating these mirrors into my build was a no-brainer. They epitomized the ethos of my project: only change what makes the bike objectively better. The mo.view mirrors not only met this standard, but also elevated the entire aesthetic and performance of the motorcycle.

In the end, the motogadget mo.view mirrors became a pivotal part of my build, a testament to the philosophy that if you’re going to upgrade, do it with the best. It’s this personal commitment to quality that transforms your motorcycle from a simple backyard project into your own masterpiece.
